He brings over 25 years of leadership experience to the chief executive officer role. A highly accomplished, strategic, and results-driven health care technology business leader, Dan has earned an esteemed reputation for successfully building high-performance cultures for growing companies, while demonstrating an unwavering commitment to integrity and excellence.
Prior to joining eHealth Technologies, Dan served as the chief operating officer for ConnectiveRx in Pittsburgh, where he led the operations and technology teams to simplify the prescription process for specialty medication to ensure that patients receive the life-saving therapies they need as quickly as possible. He previously served as chief operating officer of CMMI Institute, a spin-off of Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute, where he partnered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Medical Device Innovation Consortium to help elevate the entire medical device industry with a focus on improving device quality to save lives. While at the CMMI Institute, he also partnered with U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) to improve data management of patient data demographic information to ensure the right patient receives the right treatment.
Jeff Markin
Chief Executive Officer
Jeff brings extensive experience in health care and general business management. In the 26 years he spent at Eastman Kodak, he held positions in manufacturing, R&D, product-line management, regional general management and divisional general management, including leading Eastman Kodak’s healthcare information technology group as a corporate officer.
Prior to joining eHealth Technologies, Jeff was a Vice President and COO of Bio-Optronics a leading Healthcare Information technology company focused specifically on workflow optimization. His responsibilities included building the support and services team as well as directing the roadmap and commercialization of their flagship CTMS product. He also served as the President and CEO of the Rochester-based imaging Contract Research Organization (CRO), VirtualScopics, for eight years, where he guided the company through significant growth in revenue and profitability.
Jeff is a member of the Deans Advisory Board for the College of Engineering and the Chairman’s Advisory Board for the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He received his MBA from the University of Rochester, William E. Simon Graduate School of Business, and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid runner.
Michael A. Sciortino, Esq.
Chief General Counsel, Chief Privacy Officer
Michael assists eHealth Technologies with its general corporate legal matters, contract negotiations, and ensuring its compliance with federal and state health privacy and security laws. Michael is also in private practice as a trial lawyer and has represented individuals with personal injuries, labor or employment disputes, business entities in health care law, commercial and corporate litigation, municipalities, and criminal defense, all in state and federal court. In addition, Michael is currently a judge of the Parma Town Court in Monroe County, an acting city court judge in Rochester City Court, a judge in Rochester Teen Court and is currently a trustee and past-president of the Monroe County Magistrates Association. Michael is also an arbitrator with the Better Business Bureau where he assists in the resolution of commercial disputes between businesses and consumers.
Rick Travers
Chief Technology Officer
Rick oversees and grows all aspects of technology at eHealth Technologies, creating a roadmap to drive strategies that provide secure and innovate solutions for our customers.
In his extensive experience, Rick has been instrumental in building strong teams that work together to solve complex technical issues through inventive solutions. His creativity and focus have led to the development of reliable, secure, innovative IT solutions that offer new opportunities for customer growth and satisfaction and improve the efficiency and quality of healthcare systems.
Prior to joining eHealth Technologies, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Medicine-On-Time. He has also held several IT positions in the healthcare, health insurance and pharmaceutical fields, as well as the banking and transportation industries.
As the chair of HealtheLink’s Enterprise Architecture Sub-Committee from 2005 to 2009, Rick helped position the company to exchange clinical health information by leading evaluation of the Health Information Exchange (HIE) software.
A US Airforce Veteran, Rick has a bachelor’s in Management Information Systems.
Rick has two grown daughters and lives in Syracuse with his wife.
Michelle L. Halloran, SPHR
Vice President of Human Resources
Michelle graduated from State University of Geneseo with a Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting and proceeded to work for The Arc of Monroe County in various Finance positions until she graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Masters’ in Career and Human Resources Development. Since attaining her Masters’ Michelle earned her Senior Professional in Human Resource certification with Society of Human Resource Management and was in several Human Resources roles at The Arc of Monroe responsible for recruitment, benefits, employee relations/performance, management training, metric analysis, and HR compliance. In addition to GVSHRM Diversity Council, she also volunteers at Mary Cariola Children’s center and the Rochester Childfirst Network as a member of the Board of Directors for both. Michelle is immediate past Chair of the Human Resources Committee for Mary Cariola Children’s Center in addition to volunteering for the Human Resources Committee at Big Brothers and Big Sisters and chairing the Personnel Committee for Rochester Childfirst Network.
Liz Butt
Vice President of Customer Success Management
Liz has dedicated her career to creating successful outcomes for both customers and employees at eHealth Technologies. Beginning as a Customer Support specialist in Operations in 2011, Liz understands the growing and ever-changing needs of eHealth Technologies’ closest partners and is able to troubleshoot to implement solutions that achieve the highest level of satisfaction. Liz previously held positions as an Operations Team Leader, Director of Employee Engagement, and Customer Success Manager at eHealth Technologies. She brings a workflow perspective to every project, helping to achieve realistic and sustainable results. In addition to problem-solving expertise, Liz is forward-thinking and proactively seeks new ways to create positive customer experiences. Liz resides in Irondequoit and serves as Vice-Chair on the Junior Board of Young Professionals for the Society for the Protection and Care of Children.
Matthew Hanley
Vice President of Finance
Matt joined eHealth Technologies in July 2019 as Controller and is responsible for all finance and accounting operations. Matt has more than a decade of experience in both accounting and financial planning and analysis having held roles of increasing responsibility at global, multi-business corporations including Carestream Health and Novanta. In these roles, Matt worked with senior leadership to analyze financial risks and opportunities and use these indicators to drive improved business performance. Prior to Matt’s corporate experience, he was at DeJoy, Knauf & Blood, where he served as an Assurance Manager for large and mid-sized private companies. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from SUNY Brockport and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
Jeff Freier
Vice President of Operations
Jeff began his journey at eHealth Technologies as a Customer Service Specialist and quickly worked his way up the career ladder, serving previously as a Regional Team Leader, Director of Customer Engagement, Senior Regional Operations Director, and Business Program Director. His 10+ years of experience at the company has shaped not only his vast knowledge of the industry, but his love for the business and helping others. Outside of his executive role, Jeff enjoys giving back to his community by participating in United Way’s annual Day of Caring, and by organizing the Thanksgiving Basket Drive for the Society for the Protection and Care of Children. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the State University of New York at Brockport.
Sean Ways
Vice President of Engineering
Sean brings more than 25 years of experience to this role, and a strong background in programming and cybersecurity in health care and other industries. Most recently, Sean served as the software engineering lead for ISACA, following its purchase of CMMI, a spin-off of Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute, where he is credited with modernizing the technical systems and infrastructure. Highlights from his tenure include a successful boutique software development engagement with the FDA to build a continuous improvement model and the supporting technology for medical device development. Under his leadership, several commercial SaaS products were launched, which continue to perform well in the market today.
Presley Kelleher
General Manager, Records Retrieval & Vice President of Product Management, Patient Access
Presley Kelleher comes to eHealth Technologies from McKesson, where he most recently served as their Senior Director of Innovation, developing new and innovative products and processes within the retail pharmacy space. He has spent his career working with health systems, developing new products, and taking existing portfolios through growth phases. In his role at eHealth Technologies, Presley is responsible for developing product strategies to grow the current portfolio and to develop new products for existing and new markets. He will use his extensive background and experience to identify the best strategic path to grow eHealth Technologies, finding new and innovative ways to enable its customers to deliver an optimal patient experience. Presley holds a master’s degree in Health Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh, a Certified Six Sigma Greenbelt and is a certified Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute.
Mirza Baig is the founding Partner of ACP. As a serial entrepreneur and investor in health care and technology, he has been involved in scaling operations and growing sales to build large businesses that have enjoyed successful outcomes.
As a co-founder of Imaging Advantage, Legal Advantage and Tech Fetch, he built these companies from zero revenues and sub-10 employees to well over $100mm in revenues, and over five hundred employees globally.
Raheel Zia
Founding Partner, Aldrich Capital Partners
Prior to co-founding ACP, Mr. Raheel (“Raz”) Zia was a Managing Director in the Principal Investment Area of Goldman, Sachs & Co. based in San Francisco, where he helped launch the Growth Equity investing practice. Over the course of his private equity investing career, he has been responsible for over $480mm in equity investments in growing technology companies, resulting in numerous successful outcomes in the form of Initial Public Offerings, Strategic Sales and other Liquidity events.
He has worked extensively with growing, entrepreneurial businesses and helped many executives and entrepreneurs attain their growth objectives, supporting management in areas such as sales & marketing, international expansion, acquisitions, new product launches and R&D.
